FULL OF BEAUTY
20th January 2019
It isn’t easy to get a mention when the talk turns to the Kwok “Beauty Family” horses, with those discussions dominated by Beauty Generation a the moment but Price Bloodstock’s first horse for the high profile Hong Kong owners, Full Beauty, is on the way to making a name for himself too.
On Sunday, Full Of Beauty overcame a wide barrier to lead all the way and keep his unbeaten record intact after two starts in Class 4 and the John Size-trained four-year-old is on his way up the ladder to the higher grades.
From gate 11, Joao Moreira bounced the gelding out, crossed the field then steadied the pace on the turn before kicking away for a comprehensive win.
“It’s hard to fault what he’s doing so far,” said Size. “Joao used his speed to cross them then he had a kick at the finish and that’s not easy for any horse, doing it both ends, let alone a horse as inexperienced as this bloke. He’s still learning but he is winning while he’s learning and that’s always encouraging to see.”
Full Of Beauty graduates now to Class 3, where the opposition will be tougher but Size has no doubt he is up to it.
“The step from Class 4 into Class 3 isn’t the big one, that’s when they step into Class 2 so we’ll get more of a guide to his future when he has to do that, but he looks capable of making his presence felt in Class 3,” Size said. “He’s got a good attitude and he’s got some tactical speed and those two things will take him a fair way.”
