HEZA BEAUTY 美麗多多
1 July 2020
Price Bloodstock horses are rarely as frustrating early in their careers as Heza Beauty but the three-year-old still didn’t take too long to get his act together with an authoritative maiden win at Sha Tin on Saturday.
More often, Price Bloodstock horses are characterized by their great attitude and manners when they start their careers but in the case of Heza Beauty, the fact the John Size-trained gelding has done a few things wrong and still raced well in his first 6 starts, racking up more than half a million dollars in prizemoney even without winning.
That has only masked the level of his promise but he didn’t have a hair out of place this time. He jumped well, jockey Joao Moreira had him poised behind the leaders in the run before sliding along the rail in the straight for a 1400m victory that never looked in doubt.
“John has done most of the work just to teach Heza Beauty to settle down properly and only now has he been able to put it together and perform, and do it straightforwardly, for me,” the Brazilian star rider said. “We know he has ability and he should improve a lot more from this run. I think he has a good future.”
And that augurs well for Heza Beauty’s career, particularly as he moves Into his classic year as a four-year-old in 2020-21.
