NOTHINGILIKEMORE

Win 498 for Price Bloodstock in Hong Kong came up at Sha Tin on Sunday when the most promising future prospect in training there, Nothingilikemore, again romped away to keep his unbeaten record intact.
Nothingilikemore is the standout three-year-old in Hong Kong based on what he has done to date and a really exciting prospect for next season’s Classic Mile and trainer John Size admits the balancing act of not asking too much of him too soon is the key in the next few months.
After just three starts, Nothingilikemore is going to find himself in Class Two for his next outing and the champion trainer said that isn’t ideal but he’ll play things by ear.
“It’s a quicker trip to that level than I’d like but I guess we have to live with it,” said Size. “I’m usually a bit shy with three-year-olds going to Class Two. I’m not so much worried about the rating number they are on, it’s more to do with putting up such big performances at such a young age. It might look easy, but they’re not racing their own age, they are racing older horses and as you climb the ladder you run into some tough, experienced horses so you need to be careful. If there is any doubt about how he’s handling things, I won’t push him but I’ll let him tell me.”
Nothingilikemore had the best barrier draw he has had in those three starts and Joao Moreira made the most of it, parking him close to the lead and keeping him out of trouble and the gelding did the rest, lengthening beautifully to put the race away in a few strides at the end of the 1,400m.
