PRINCE HARMONY

10th May 2017

Rising young trainer, Chris So keeps racking up winners with the Price Bloodstock horses and he touched on the reliability of them after Prince Harmony won his second race on the trot at Happy Valley last night.

So has already sourced 33 wins through Price Bloodstock horses in a career of only a few years, including 11 of his 49 wins in the current term, after Prince Harmony’s hollow victory on Wednesday night that advertised the son of Strategic as having quite a bit more success ahead.

“He was a Price Bloodstock horse so we knew he had good ability when he arrived. The plan was that he was going to be an early season horse, but he got a setback early in the preparation with a quarter crack,” So explained. “That’s why he didn’t race until November. Then when he got to the races, he had bad luck with his barrier draws his first four starts. It’s only in the last two runs he’s had a good barrier and could show what he can do.”
Douglas Whyte simply controlled the race from the front after Prince Harmony jumped well and he was never under threat in scoring by three and a half lengths.

“He might get a big penalty from the handicapper for that margin. I’m hoping he will still be in Class Four but even if he gets pushed out of the class, I’m confident he should handle Class Three with a light handicap,” said So. “I hope he can win another one before the season is finished. Three wins is a good season.”
